Responsibilities:
- Prepare cutting layouts using optimization software.
- Review cutting lists and verify dimensions, quantities and material specifications before processing.
- Arrange cutting plans to minimise waste while meeting order requirements.
- Account for grain direction, edging requirements and cutting allowances where applicable.
- Provide clear cutting plans and instructions to machine operators.
- Resolve discrepancies in cutting lists with the relevant team before production.
- Maintain accurate records of cutting plans, material usage and reusable offcuts.
- Coordinate with sales, warehouse and cutting teams to meet delivery schedules.
Requirements:
- Practical experience in panel cutting optimization.
- Proficiency in cutting optimization software.
- Ability to interpret cutting lists, measurements and technical drawings.
- Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of panel sizes, material specifications and cutting allowances.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication, planning and coordination skills.
