Registrar Liaison Officer
Job summary
A leading top-ten (10) stockbroking firm, duly licensed by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Nigeria and the Nigerian Exchange Group (NGX), is seeking to engage a competent and results-driven Operations / Registrar Liaison Officer for immediate employment.
Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Process client requests, including share dematerialization, dividend claims, account transfers, change of name, and share reconciliation
- Serve as the primary liaison between the firm and registrars, ensuring prompt and effective communication
- Manage relationships with both new and existing clients, ensuring excellent service delivery
- Handle account opening, KYC onboarding, and account maintenance processes
- Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date operational records and databases
- Support continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency
- Provide operational support to the dealing, finance, compliance, and customer service units
- Handle and resolve registrar-related and operational issues or complaints
- Ensure smooth and efficient day-to-day operations within the department
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or a related discipline
- Professional certification (e.g., CIS) is an added advantage
- SEC-sponsored Individual status is an added advantage
- Minimum of 2–3 years’ relevant experience in a stockbroking or investment banking environment
- Strong understanding of registrar engagement and processes
- Good knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in the capital market
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; familiarity with back-office systems is desirable
