Job summary
We are seeking to engage an experienced Operations Officer for immediate employment.

Responsibilities:
- Process client requests relating to account transfers, share dematerialisation, change of name, and other post-trade and account-related services.
- Manage and maintain effective relationships with both new and existing clients to ensure a high standard of service delivery.
- Liaise with the Nigerian Exchange (NGX), Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS), registrars, and other relevant counterparties to resolve operational and settlement issues.
- Handle new account openings, KYC onboarding, periodic reviews, and ongoing account maintenance in line with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure timely preparation, verification, documentation, and validation of all operational transactions in compliance with applicable regulations and internal policies.
- Process client mandates, account updates, and other service instructions accurately and promptly.
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory, exchange, and internal operational guidelines at all times.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports for management and regulatory purposes.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date operational records, databases, and documentation.
- Demonstrate strong working knowledge of support system operations, including trading platforms, back-office software, and settlement systems.
- Support process improvement and automation initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and risk control.
- Provide operational support to the dealing, finance, compliance, and customer service teams to ensure seamless workflow.
- Perform other operations-related duties as may be assigned from time to time
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Must be a Certified Stockbroker.
- SEC-sponsored Individual registration is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 2–5 years’ relevant operations experience within a stockbroking or investment banking firm.
- Strong understanding of capital markets, the trade life-cycle, and settlement processes.
- Sound knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements governing capital-market operations in Nigeria.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and practical familiarity with trading platforms and back-office systems.
