Operations Officer
Salary: #250,000
Abuja, Nigeria | Independent contractor | Full-time in-person during probation, then hybrid (60 percent in-person, 40 percent remote)
About the role:
The Operations Officer runs client's day-to-day operations, owning process, coordination, people and admin, tools and vendors, and execution discipline, so the platform and the team run smoothly across markets.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operational execution. Own day-to-day operational delivery and coordination across functions, keeping work on schedule.
- People and admin. Manage hiring support, onboarding, staff coordination, and records for the team.
- Payment counter-approval. Act as the OPERATIONAL counter-approver in the Company's dual-control payment process.
- Tools and vendors. Manage operational tools, subscriptions, and vendor relationships without lapses.
- Support oversight. Oversee the customer support function and its service levels.
- Process and SOPs. Document key processes and standard operating procedures and keep them current.
REQUIREMENTS
- Qualifications. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations, Management, or a related field.
- • Experience. 3years in operations, project, or office management, ideally in a startup, technology, or media environment.
- • Tools and platforms. Project and productivity tools (Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace; Asana, Trello, or ClickUp); basic financial controls awareness.
- • Strengths. Strong organization and coordination, people management, sound judgment for a counter-approval role, problem-solving, and discretion.
- • Language. English (fluent, written and spoken).
- • Working style. Able to work with minimal supervision; self-directed, reliable, hands-on, and comfortable owning outcomes.
