Job summary

As the Operations Manager, you oversee daily plastic manufacturing, shifts, and logistics. You optimize lean workflows, track KPIs, and cut material waste. You manage supply chains, enforce ISO/HSE safety compliance, ensure product quality, and lead factory teams to hit targets.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Mapping workflows (e.g., using BPMN or SIPOC) to eliminate redundancies, reduce cycle times, and remove bottlenecks.
  • Ensuring goods or services meet company standards and enforcing health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
  • Creating and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent delivery across shifts and locations.
  • Translating high-level company goals and executive visions into actionable, daily plans.
  • Applying methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen to improve business operations continually.
  • Formulating operational budgets, analyzing expenses, and identifying financial risks or areas for cost optimization.
  • Forecasting demand and properly balancing staffing, space, and equipment to align with operational goals.
  • Managing procurement, stock levels, and distribution to meet customer demand without excess holding costs.
  • Recruiting, training, and mentoring operational staff while defining job expectations and monitoring KPIs.
  • Acting as a central hub connecting different departments (such as IT, sales, HR, and logistics) to ensure they work smoothly together.
  • Negotiating pricing, building contracts, and managing relationships with third-party service providers and utilities.
  • Streamlining customer support and service delivery to improve client retention and overall user experience


Requirements:

  • 2–5 years of managerial experience, preferably in manufacturing or factory operations.   
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.   
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic ERP/inventory management tools.   
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field (an added advantage).   
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.   
  • Ability to manage teams and coordinate multiple operations effectively.   
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet production targets.   
  • Strong attention to detail and decision-making abilities
