Job summary
The Operations Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising the company's operational activities across advertising, brand activation, field promotions, and corporate events.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the company.
- Lead, supervise, and manage operational and field teams to achieve business and project objectives.
- Plan and coordinate field marketing, promotional, and brand activation activities.
- Coordinate teams deployed to markets, retail locations, and other activation points.
- Develop operational plans, schedules, and deployment structures for campaigns.
- Set clear team and departmental KPIs in line with company and project objectives.
- Monitor team performance against agreed KPIs and implement corrective actions where required.
- Ensure promotional staff have the required uniforms, materials, products, and equipment.
- Monitor field teams to ensure activities are executed according to client requirements.
- Coordinate logistics, transportation, materials, equipment, and other operational requirements.
- Support the planning and execution of corporate events.
- Coordinate vendors, suppliers, event personnel, and third-party service providers.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and operational deliverables.
- Ensure all client projects are delivered within agreed timelines and specifications.
- Conduct regular field visits to monitor campaign execution and team performance.
- Identify operational challenges and implement practical solutions.
- Review and improve existing operational processes to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Design, document, implement, and regularly update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for key operational activities.
- Ensure teams understand and consistently follow approved SOPs, policies, and procedures.
- Prepare accurate operational reports, campaign performance updates, KPI dashboards, and management reports.
- Use Microsoft Excel to analyse operational data, track performance, prepare reports, and support decision-making.
- Use Power BI to develop and maintain dashboards and visual reports where required.
- Maintain proper records of staff deployment, attendance, materials, expenses, project activities, and performance results.
- Work closely with HR to manage field staff recruitment, onboarding, attendance, and performance.
- Liaise with clients and internal teams to resolve operational issues.
- Ensure company policies, procedures, and health and safety requirements are followed.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching, guidance, and feedback to team members.
- Identify training and development needs within the operations team.
- Continuously improve operational processes, team productivity, service delivery, and client satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree/HND in Business Administration, Operations Management, Management, Marketing, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in operations, field marketing, brand activation, FMCG, events, advertising, or a related industry.
- Proven experience managing and supervising teams, including field teams and promotional staff.
- Experience coordinating events, logistics, vendors, and third-party suppliers.
- Strong knowledge of process management and operational improvement.
- Demonstrated experience designing, documenting, implementing, and monitoring SOPs.
- Experience setting, tracking, and reviewing KPIs for teams or departments.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, reporting, formulas, pivot tables, and performance tracking.
- Working knowledge of Power BI and the ability to create or interpret dashboards and operational reports.
- Strong reporting and data-interpretation skills.
- Strong organisational and project-management skills.
- Good communication, leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace.
- Must be comfortable with frequent field movement when required.
