Operations Manager
Job summary
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager with a strong engineering background, preferably with experience in an engineering procurement, engineering services, or industrial equipment company. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the company’s overall operations, ensuring effective coordination across procurement.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operational activities across procurement, sourcing, logistics, pricing, and inventory.
- Lead and manage teams responsible for sourcing, procurement, logistics, and pricing.
- Manage supplier relationships, including supplier selection, evaluation, negotiation, performance monitoring, and issue resolution.
- Coordinate with local and international suppliers to ensure timely sourcing and delivery of engineering materials and equipment.
- Monitor supplier lead times, delivery schedules, quality, and overall performance.
- Coordinate shipping, logistics, clearing, and delivery activities to ensure efficient movement of goods.
- Review supplier quotations and support competitive and cost-effective pricing strategies.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure the timely availability of required engineering spares and products.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve operational processes and procedures.
- Establish and monitor operational KPIs to improve efficiency, productivity, and service delivery.
- Identify operational challenges and implement practical solutions to minimize delays and unnecessary costs.
- Work closely with management and other departments to ensure smooth end-to-end order fulfillment.
- Ensure operational activities align with company objectives, quality standards, and commercial targets.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- Proven experience as an operations Manager or in a similar leadership position.
- Experience working in an engineering procurement, engineering services, industrial equipment, or related technical company is highly preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of engineering spares, industrial equipment, and engineering products.
- Strong understanding of procurement and sourcing processes.
- Proven experience managing suppliers, including selection, negotiation, performance management, and resolution of supplier-related issues.
- Good knowledge of logistics planning, shipping coordination, and inventory management.
- Commercial acumen with experience reviewing quotations, negotiating prices, and driving cost-effective procurement.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of operational processes, KPIs, and supply chain efficiency.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
