Operations Manager
Job summary
This is a full-time on-site role for an Operations Manager in Abuja. The Operations Manager will oversee furniture production from order to delivery. The role is to bring structure to how work moves through the workshop, improve workflow, reduce mistakes, and ensure jobs are completed correctly and on time.
Job descriptions & requirements
- Design and implement a standard production workflow for custom furniture orders.
- Introduce clear checkpoints (design approval, measurement verification, production release, quality checks).
- Reduce rework caused by measurement errors and production mistakes.
- Coordinate artisans, draftsmen, and inventory to meet delivery timelines.
- Track and report on: On-time delivery, Rework and scrap, Labor hours per job.
- Continuously improve processes using Lean / Six Sigma principles.
- 5+ years in Supervising, furniture production, Especially Bed and Chairs.
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma (Green Belt+), or PMP.
- Strong leadership skills (hands-on, not desk-only).
- Ability to document processes and enforce standards.
- Comfortable working with artisans and skilled labor.
- Loves making or Crafting Furnitures.
