Operations Manager
Job summary
The Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations, maintenance activities, and technical performance of the company's projects and assets. The role ensures optimal system performance, operational efficiency, compliance with safety standards, effective resource utilization, and excellent service delivery.

Responsibilities:
Operations Management:
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily operational activities across all assigned sites.
- Monitor operational performance and implement strategies to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Develop and maintain operational procedures, policies, and standards.
- Ensure service level agreements (SLAs) and operational targets are achieved.
- Coordinate field operations and technical support activities.
Maintenance Management:
- Develop and implement a preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance program
- Ensure all equipment, systems, and installations are maintained in optimal working condition.
- Monitor maintenance schedules and ensure timely completion of maintenance activities.
- Investigate equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain maintenance records, reports, and asset registers.
Technical Operations:
- Oversee installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment and systems.
- Provide technical guidance and support to engineers, technicians, and field personnel.
- Review technical reports and recommend operational improvements.
- Ensure adherence to technical specifications, quality standards, and manufacturer guidelines.
- Support project implementation and transition into operational phases.
Team Leadership:
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate technical and maintenance personnel.
- Conduct performance reviews and identify training needs.
- Allocate manpower and resources effectively to achieve operational objectives.
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Health, Safety, and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
- Implement and monitor Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) procedures.
- Conduct site inspections and safety audits.
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare periodic operational and maintenance reports.
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Maintain accurate operational, maintenance, and compliance records.
- Present operational updates and recommendations to management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- A master's degree or professional certifications will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5–8 years' experience in operations and maintenance management.
- Proven experience managing technical teams and field operations.
- Experience in renewable energy, power systems, facilities management, construction, or industrial operations is an advantage.
