Operations Manager

The Operations Manager oversees daily manufacturing processes, production efficiency, and quality control, at the Ibeju-Lekki headquarters, while coordinating showroom operations across Lagos. This role optimizes resource utilization, ensures product quality, and drives continuous improvement to support scalable growth in the plastics industry.

Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily production operations across all factories to ensure optimal output, efficiency, and machine utilization.
- Translate production plans into executable schedules while ensuring alignment with operational and business objectives.
- Monitor machine performance indicators, including output efficiency, cycle times, downtime, and reject rates, and initiate corrective actions where required.
- Oversee technical setup, changeovers, and production start-ups in collaboration with engineering and maintenance teams.
- Ensure availability, proper handling, and effective usage of raw materials to prevent production disruptions and material wastage.
- Enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process controls on the production floor.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing downtime, waste, rejects, and rework while improving overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, environmental, and factory regulations across all production activities.
- Work closely with Quality Control to ensure products meet defined specifications and customer requirements.
- Participate in operational decision-making, including manpower planning, shift structuring, and production cost control.
- Prepare, analyze, and present daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports to management.
- Act as a link between Production, Sales, Management, and other relevant departments, contributing data-driven insights to performance reviews, demand planning, and decision-making.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or HND in a related field.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment (plastic manufacturing will be an added advantage).
- Strong technical understanding of production processes, machine operations, factory workflow, and ability to analyze production data, machine performance, downtime, and output efficiency to drive continuous improvement.
