Operations Manager
Job summary
We are seeking an Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a travel, tourism, and events planning business. Candidate will coordinate teams, optimize operational workflows, maintain high service standards, manage client and business relations, and ensure operations efficiency and profitability across locations.

- Oversee daily operational activities across branches, locations, tours, events, and other business operations.
- Lead, supervise, and coordinate operational teams to ensure high standards of productivity and service delivery.
- Plan and coordinate travel bookings, transportation, accommodation, tours, events, and related services.
- Coordinate with airlines, hotels, transport companies, tour operators, event vendors, and other third-party service providers.
- Manage client relationships and ensure excellent customer experience throughout the service journey.
- Handle customer complaints, escalations, and service-recovery situations professionally and promptly.
- Coordinate activities across multiple branches or locations and ensure consistent operational standards.
- Monitor workflows, operational performance, service quality, and key performance indicators.
- Identify operational inefficiencies and implement practical solutions to improve processes and service delivery.
- Develop and maintain effective operational procedures, schedules, checklists, and workflows.
- Monitor operational costs and identify opportunities for cost control and improved profitability.
- Identify potential revenue-generating opportunities within travel, tourism, hospitality, and events services.
- Support management in achieving business growth, customer retention, and profitability objectives.
- Maintain strong working relationships with suppliers, vendors, clients, and other business partners.
- Ensure travel and reservation systems are used effectively and accurately.
- Respond quickly to urgent travel, client, event, or operational issues and coordinate appropriate solutions.
- Provide regular operational reports and updates to management.
- Travel when required for branch oversight, tours, events, inspections, or other business activities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, service standards, and applicable industry requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Hospitality/Tourism, Events Management, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in operations, travel, tourism, hospitality, events, or a related service industry.
- Proven experience managing teams and coordinating daily operations.
- Demonstrable experience coordinating activities across multiple locations, branches, or operational sites.
- Previous experience in travel agency, airline, hotel, tourism, hospitality, or events operations is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of travel bookings, reservations, transportation, accommodation, tours, events, and vendor coordination.
- Proficiency with travel booking and reservation systems.
- Knowledge of GDS/Amadeus is an advantage.
- Strong operational planning, workflow management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to monitor performance, identify inefficiencies, and implement process improvements.
- Strong commercial awareness, including the ability to identify revenue opportunities and control operational costs.
- Excellent client relationship management skills, including complaint handling, escalation management, and service recovery.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, multitasking, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage urgent operational or client-related situations.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
