Role Description
This is a full-time on-site News Anchor role based in Lagos. The News Anchor will be responsible for reporting, presenting live broadcasts, conducting interviews, and delivering accurate and engaging news content. Responsibilities include writing and editing news scripts, identifying relevant news stories, and collaborating with the production team to create compelling content for the audience. The News Anchor will also ensure adherence to journalistic standards and ethics in all broadcasts.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Reporting and Broadcast Journalism
- Strong capabilities in News Writing and Editing
- Experience as a Presenter and in live broadcasting
- Knowledge of critical trends and practices in media and journalism
- Excellent verbal communication and public speaking skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
- Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, or a related field is preferred
- Prior experience in a media or broadcasting environment is an asset
