Background

BBC Media Action, in partnership with SWODEN, is implementing a multi-platform project focused on child birth spacing, maternal health, and reproductive rights across selected LGAs in Kano and Kaduna States.

The project utilizes radio dramas, community dialogues, social mobilization activities, and digital engagement to address harmful social norms, misconceptions, and barriers affecting family planning and maternal health practices. Through evidence-based communication and community engagement strategies, the project seeks to improve maternal and child health outcomes and strengthen access to reproductive health information and services.

Desirable

• Experience working in Northern Nigeria communities.
• Familiarity with media-based social and behavior change communication approaches.
• Experience collaborating with government institutions and development partners.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and accountability frameworks.
