Mechanical Technician

Responsibilities:

• Installation and repair: Install, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment such as pumps, motors, and conveyor systems. 
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues with machinery to correct malfunctions and ensure smooth operation. 
• Preventive maintenance: Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment to prevent future breakdowns. 
• Quality control: Conduct tests, such as tensile or fatigue testing, to ensure products meet quality and safety standards before they are released. 
• Record keeping: Create and maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities. 
• Collaboration: Work with other departments, supervisors, and engineers to coordinate maintenance efforts and provide technical support. 
• Safety compliance: Follow all company safety guidelines and procedures, which may include proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), lockout/tagout procedures, and operating heavy equipment like forklifts. 
• Tool usage: Use a variety of hand and power tools, and may be required to use specialized diagnostic equipment. 

Requirements:

• Minimum of a Vocational qualification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience.
• Hands-on experience in brewing, distilling, or the liquid beverage industry.
