Mechanical MEP Supervisor

Company Description HFN Investments Ltd. is a growing organization based in Lagos, with a focus on delivering high-quality projects and services across its portfolio. The company is hiring a Mechanical MEP Supervisor to join the team delivering Radisson RED Lagos — an international hospitality project in the heart of Lagos.

Location: Lekki, Lagos

Role Description The Mechanical MEP Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Lagos, responsible for overseeing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installations on construction or facility projects.

This role involves planning daily work activities, coordinating site teams and subcontractors, and ensuring that MEP works are executed according to design specifications, safety standards, and local regulations.

The supervisor will monitor progress, conduct inspections, address technical issues, and report on site activities to project management. Responsibilities also include reviewing drawings, coordinating with consultants and clients, managing materials and equipment, and ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks. The role requires active participation in site meetings, enforcing safety procedures, and supporting testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, including installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP services.
• Experience supervising site teams, coordinating subcontractors, and managing daily construction activities for MEP works.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documents, with attention to detail and compliance.
• Sound understanding of safety standards, local building codes, and regulatory requirements relevant to MEP installations in Lagos.
• Proficiency in using basic project management tools and documentation practices for tracking progress, issues, and reports.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, consultants, and clients.
• Minimum of a diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or a related field; relevant professional certifications are an advantage.
• Previous experience in a similar supervisory role in construction or facility management, preferably within MEP-focused projects.

Experience delivering to an international hotel operator's standards and exposure to commissioning, testing and balancing would be a significant advantage.
