Job summary
The Mechanical Engineer ensures that heavy-duty machines and site equipment are working properly and safely. The role involves checking equipment, finding faults, and making sure repairs are done correctly and only when needed. The goal is to reduce breakdowns, keep machines running well, and support smooth site operations.

Responsibilities:
- Assessing project requirements, conducting feasibility studies, and applying mathematical principles to design solutions.
- Creating detailed blueprints, 3D models, and schematics using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- Performing structural, thermal, and fluid flow simulations, and building prototypes to validate limits and reliability under real-world conditions.
- Ensuring machinery operates efficiently, overseeing production, and managing installation or maintenance programs.
- Preparing technical reports, establishing quality control procedures, and ensuring designs comply with local safety standards and industry codes.
Requirements:
- B.Sc. / HND in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- COREN certification is an added advantage.
- A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in construction environments.
- Minimum of relevant hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance or engineering roles
- Experience working with heavy-duty equipment in construction, industrial, or site-based environments
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and engineering tools
- Strong analytical skills
