Mechanical Engineer
Job summary
We are seeking a skilled, innovative, and results-oriented Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, installation, operation, maintenance, and optimization of mechanical systems and equipment to ensure efficient and safe operations.

Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and improve mechanical systems, equipment, and components.
- Prepare engineering drawings, technical specifications, and project documentation.
- Participate in the planning, execution, and commissioning of engineering projects.
- Conduct feasibility studies and provide technical recommendations for new projects and process improvements.
- Ensure engineering designs comply with applicable standards, codes, and company specifications.
- Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs for mechanical equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults to minimize equipment downtime.
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend modifications to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical equipment and systems.
- Ensure all engineering activities comply with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and industry regulations.
- Conduct equipment inspections and risk assessments.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, engineering reports, and technical documentation.
- Participate in safety audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with electrical, civil, production, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Provide technical guidance to technicians, contractors, and junior engineers.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors regarding equipment specifications and procurement.
- Support training initiatives for maintenance personnel and equipment users.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree (B.Eng./B.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Proven years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering, maintenance, manufacturing, construction, oil and gas, power, or industrial operations.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, rotating equipment, HVAC systems, pumps, compressors, and production machinery (as applicable).
- Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or similar design tools.
- Good understanding of preventive maintenance, reliability engineering, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
