Job Summary
A luxury real estate and construction company is seeking an experienced Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP) Engineer with a minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in designing, coordinating, and managing MEP systems in construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient planning, installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in compliance with project specifications, standards, and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, review, and supervise MEP systems including HVAC, electrical distribution, lighting, fire protection, water supply, and drainage systems.
* Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and BOQs (Bills of Quantities).
* Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems.
* Review shop drawings and ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
* Conduct site inspections to monitor installation quality and progress.
* Ensure all works comply with local regulations, safety standards, and building codes.
* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during installation and commissioning.
* Oversee testing and commissioning of MEP systems.
* Manage project timelines and ensure timely completion of MEP works.
* Provide technical support during project planning and execution stages.
Required Qualifications & Skills
* Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
* Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in MEP design and project execution.
* Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing systems, and fire protection systems.
* Proficiency in MEP design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or similar tools).
* Good understanding of international and local building codes and standards.
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Strong communication and coordination abilities.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
Salary Range
- N350,000-N450,000
