Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver Mathematics lessons according to the school curriculum.
- Explain mathematical concepts clearly using practical examples and teaching aids.
- Prepare assignments, classwork, tests, and examination questions.
- Assess students’ understanding and track academic progress.
- Identify learning difficulties and provide appropriate support.
- Encourage problem-solving, logical reasoning, and critical thinking.
- Maintain effective classroom discipline and a positive learning environment.
- Participate in school activities and academic programmes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree/HND in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related field.
- Previous teaching experience is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of secondary-school Mathematics.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and classroom-management skills.
- Ability to simplify complex mathematical concepts.
- TRCN certification is an advantage.
