We are seeking a strategic, creative, and results-driven Marketing Manager/Lead to oversee and implement all marketing efforts across the company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and revenue growth. This role requires a hands-on leader who can manage campaigns, analyze performance data, and coordinate with internal teams to achieve business goals. Turn marketing efforts into measurable growth. This role owns go-to market planning, digital acquisition, CRM and automation, content and brand strategy, performance marketing, partnerships, and the marketing team’s day-to-day delivery. The ideal candidate is analytically strong, experienced in travel or consumer services, and obsessed with converting awareness into bookings and revenue.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute an integrated marketing strategy aligned to sales and company revenue goals.
  • Plan and run multi-channel acquisition campaigns (paid search, paid social, display, email, content, SEO, affiliates, and partnerships).
  • Own the end-to-end funnel: awareness → consideration → booking → retention. Define metrics and dashboards to measure each stage.
  • Manage the marketing budget; optimize spending by channel based on performance and ROI.
  • Lead CRM strategy and automation (lead scoring, nurture workflows, segmentation, cross‑sell, and retention flows).
  • Create and maintain a content calendar that supports SEO, social, email, and conversion rate optimization (CRO) efforts.
  • Work closely with Sales, Operations, and Product teams to design conversion paths and booking funnels.
  • Use analytics (GA4, Looker Studio/Data Studio, or equivalent) to analyze campaign performance and recommend optimizations.
  • Line manage, mentor, and hire marketing staff; coordinate external agencies and freelancers as needed.
  • Establish and grow B2B partnerships (corporate retreats, schools, diaspora groups, and travel influencers) to drive group bookings.
  • Oversee creative assets and brand guidelines—ensure consistent brand voice across channels.
  • Represent the company at industry events and manage PR and reputation initiatives where relevant.
  • Ensure compliance with advertising and industry regulations and maintain data privacy standards.


What success looks like (KPIs & measurable targets):

  • Increase monthly qualified leads (MQLs) and reduce cost-per-lead (CPL) while improving lead-to-booking conversion.
  • Achieve defined ROAS targets on paid channels and maintain positive marketing contribution to revenue.
  • Grow organic sessions and search visibility (SEO) quarter-on-quarter.
  • Improve email open/click rates and conversion from automated nurture flows.
  • Drive recurring B2B group bookings and partnerships that contribute to monthly revenue targets.
  • Deliver measurable improvements to customer retention and up-sell rates.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field (Master’s or MBA is a plus).
  • 5+ years of marketing experience with at least 2 years managing a team or cross-functional projects. Travel/tourism experience preferred.
  • Proven track record driving measurable revenue growth from digital channels (demonstrable campaign metrics).
  • Strong analytical skills—comfortable with data, dashboards and Excel
  • Hands-on with digital marketing platforms: Google Ads, Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics (GA4), SEO tools (SEMrush/Ahrefs), and email/CRM platforms (HubSpot, Zoho, Mailchimp, etc.).
  • Experience with CRM-driven revenue funnels and marketing automation.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and project management skills.

Preferred Skills & Tools:

  • Certifications: Google Ads, Google Analytics, Meta Certified, or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with design tools (Canva, Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud) and content production workflows.
  • Experience with booking platforms and travel industry tech stacks is an advantage.
  • Comfortable managing paid media budgets and measuring ROAS/CAC/LTV.
  • Familiar with influencer marketing, UGC, and video-first social strategies.


Hiring Details & Team Structure:

  • Role will manage 2–6 direct reports (content creator, performance marketer, CRM specialist, and social/community manager) depending on hiring stage.
  • Works closely with Sales (B2C and B2B), Operations, and Customer Service.
  • Line manager: General Manager / Managing Director.
  • First 30 / 60 / 90 Day Plan (Expected Deliverable)
  • 0–30 days: Audit current channels, campaigns, creative, and CRM.
  • Deliver a gap analysis and prioritized road map.
  • 31–60 days: Implement quick‑win optimizations (campaign re‑allocations, landing page improvements, lead capture flows) and begin A/B tests.
  • 61–90 days: Launch the Q2 acquisition plan, establish dashboards for weekly reporting, and begin measurable growth on key KPI targets.
