Responsibilities:
Strategic Category Leadership:
- Develop long-term category growth strategies that transcend individual brands.
- Identify and size growth opportunities using consumer, market, and competitive insights.
- Lead annual category planning and prioritize growth drivers across markets.
- Shape the innovation and renovation pipeline to unlock incremental growth.
- Partner with global teams to localize category strategies for West Africa.
Commercial & P&L Management:
- Translate marketing strategies into revenue, profit, and share growth.
- Lead annual operating plans, resource allocation, and investment prioritization.
- Forecast category performance and deliver against Annual Contract and Strategic Plan commitments.
- Partner with finance and sales to optimize pricing, mix, and channel strategies.
Consumer & Brand Expertise:
- Build deep understanding of consumer behavior, demand spaces, and cultural drivers.
- Develop compelling brand positioning and portfolio architecture.
- Create integrated marketing communications and 360-degree campaigns across traditional, digital, and experiential channels.
- Ensure brand consistency and excellence across all consumer touchpoints.
Cross-Functional Leadership:
- Influence senior stakeholders across marketing, sales, finance, insights, supply chain, and global teams.
- Lead and inspire virtual and matrix teams across multiple geographies.
- Drive alignment on category priorities and commercial execution.
- Foster collaboration across business units to unlock synergies and scale.
Data & Analytics:
- Apply advanced analytics to model growth scenarios and inform strategic choices.
- Lead competitive intelligence and market performance reviews.
- Use financial reporting and demand space analysis to guide decision-making.
