Marketing and Business Development Intern
Job summary
Kon-X is seeking a Marketing and Business Development Intern to help build Kon-X Media and support regional growth across Building Materials, Energy, Construction, Real Estate, and Kon-X Care. The intern will own an agreed weekly content pipeline from ideas and field capture through editing, writing, and approved publication.

Responsibilities
- Develop Kon-X Media ideas and formats; capture products, projects, customer problems and field activity through photography, video and interviews.
- Edit short-form video, photographs, audio, graphics, captions and thumbnails into publishable pieces for approved channels.
- Write scripts, social posts, project stories and newsletter contributions with accurate input from technical colleagues.
- Maintain content calendar and media library; prepare, schedule and publish approved content to agreed deadlines.
- Research prospective customers and projects, support selected outreach, and maintain accurate CRM records and follow-up actions.
- Handle routine inbound enquiries, arrange meetings, demonstrations and local events, and route technical opportunities to the relevant team.
- Report weekly on content produced, reach, engagement, enquiries and follow-ups; use feedback to improve the next content cycle.
- Secure permissions and approvals for customer stories and site footage; follow brand, safety and data rules and escalate technical or commercial commitments.
Requirements:
- Current student or recent graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Media, Film, Journalism, Communications, Marketing or a related discipline, or equivalent portfolio-led experience.
- Demonstrated hands-on content experience through paid, freelance, campus, internship or personal projects, with samples of video, editing, photography and writing.
- Ability to shoot usable footage and photographs, edit video and audio, write clear copy and use design or publishing tools confidently.
- Comfort with social publishing, basic analytics, spreadsheets and CRM records; strong written and verbal communication.
Preferred Experience:
- A portfolio of published video, photography, writing, interviews or campaign work completed independently.
- Experience covering events, project sites or customer stories, including through campus, freelance or personal work.
- Interest in technical products and business-to-business audiences is an advantage.
Skills and Attributes:
- Ability to take a content brief from idea through filming, editing, writing and approved publication.
- Good visual storytelling, clear copywriting and careful checking of names, facts and permissions.
- Reliable planning, file organisation and delivery against weekly content deadlines.
- Professional communication with customers, site teams and colleagues during shoots and outreach.
- Initiative to test ideas, read performance results and improve the next piece of content.
