MML Consulting Ltd, a consulting and management service provider, is seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of Manager Upstream (Business & Operations) for our client in the Oil and Gas Industry.

Responsibilities:
Market Development & Growth Strategy:
- Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify emerging opportunities, underserved segments, and growth markets.
- Monitor regulatory, economic, and industry trends impacting project delivery and commercial performance.
- Provide data-driven recommendations on market entry, service expansion, and competitive positioning.
- Develop and execute short- to medium-term growth strategies (3–12 months) aligned with revenue and corporate objectives.
Revenue Ownership & Business Development Execution:
- Own the end-to-end business development lifecycle from opportunity identification through contract award.
- Lead origination, qualification, negotiation, and closure of high-value, complex projects.
- Build and manage a robust, predictable sales pipeline aligned with revenue forecasts.
- Define, track, and report business development KPIs.
Proposal, Bid & Commercial Leadership:
- Lead and coordinate major bids, tenders, and proposals, ensuring commercial, technical, and compliance alignment.
- Collaborate with technical, operations, finance, and legal teams to develop competitive and profitable proposals.
- Drive pricing strategy, risk assessment, and commercial negotiations.
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory, client, and contractual requirements.
Strategic Partnerships & Stakeholder Management:
- Identify and develop strategic partnerships with vendors, subcontractors, consultants, and institutional stakeholders.
- Build and maintain senior-level relationships with clients, regulators, government agencies, and industry partners.
- Structure partnerships that enhance market access, delivery capability, and profitability.
Cross-Functional Leadership & Internal Alignment:
- Work closely with operations, project management, procurement, finance, and compliance teams to align sales commitments with delivery capacity.
- Contribute to project feasibility, resource planning, and risk management discussions.
Client Portfolio Management & Revenue Expansion:
- Oversee onboarding and ongoing management of key strategic clients.
- Drive long-term client retention through consistent value delivery.
- Identify opportunities for renewals, scope expansion, cross-selling, and upselling.
Governance, Reporting & Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, contractual obligations, and applicable regulations.
- Identify commercial and market risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Support audit, governance, and compliance requirements related to contracts and partnerships.
- Prepare and present pipeline updates, forecasts, and performance reports to management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Strategic Management, Marketing, Project Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5–8 years of progressive experience in Business Development, within the Oil & Gas / Energy sector.
- Strong strategic thinking and commercial acumen.
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven market analysis, financial modeling, and negotiation capability.
- Strong risk assessment and decision-making skills.
- Results-driven with high integrity and professionalism.
