TripEase is a pre-launch intercity travel platform in Nigeria, building a unified network for buses, shuttles, and multi-modal mobility. Our mission is to become Nigeria’s leading multi-modal transport marketplace, connecting operators, institutions, and riders through technology.


1. Strategic Partnerships Manager

Location: Lagos, Nigeria (Hybrid: remote + field engagement)

Compensation: ₦450,000 – ₦550,000/month

Reports to: Management Team


Role Overview


We’re hiring a hands-on Partnerships Lead to drive the growth of TripEase’s operator and institutional networks. You’ll own partnerships from prospecting to onboarding, commercial execution, and operational integration shaping how TripEase scales both pre- and post-launch.


This is a high-impact, startup role for someone who thrives in a fast-moving, pre-launch environment.


Key Responsibilities


  • Pre-Launch: Operator & Institutional Partner Acquisition


  • Identify, engage, and onboard 100 independent operators and 60 institutional partners across priority routes.


  • Conduct site visits, meetings, and onboarding activities; secure partner commitments.


  • Collect operational, fleet, and route data for smooth integration.


  • Negotiate preliminary commercial terms, SLAs, and prepare integration/co-marketing plans.


  • Collaborate with Product/Engineering for technical readiness and Marketing for launch campaigns.


  • Maintain a pre-launch partner pipeline and dashboard for leadership review.


  • Coordinate with Operations and Marketing to ensure partner readiness and activation.


  • Post-Launch: Distribution & Commercial Partnerships


  • Build and scale distribution partner pipelines (corporates, campuses, travel agents, aggregators).


  • Close deals and structure commercial agreements (commission, revenue-share, incentives).


  • Collaborate with Marketing on co-marketing campaigns to drive active users.


  • Track, analyze, and optimize partner performance and ROI.


  • Sync with Operations to ensure partner service quality.


  • Maintain updated MOUs, contracts, SLAs, and commission schedules.


  • Build partner dashboards and report KPIs to leadership.


  • Post-Launch: Fleet Growth & Operator Partnerships


  • Identify, onboard, and manage bus and transport operators nationwide.


  • Negotiate operator terms, SLAs, and coordinate technical integration.


  • Ensure operational readiness: ticketing/pricing, partner training, verification, and quality checks.


  • Monitor operator performance and retention; implement interventions as needed.


  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align partner activities with marketing, product, and operations.


Required Qualifications & Experience


  • 3–6 years in partnerships, business development, or commercial roles ideally in transport, logistics, mobility, marketplaces, or SaaS.


  • Demonstrated track record of building and scaling partner/operator networks, closing B2B deals, and managing relationships to measurable outcomes.
  • Comfortable coordinating technical integrations (APIs, product handoffs).


  • Strong analytical skills: partner economics modeling, dashboards, Excel/Sheets, basic SQL a plus.


  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.


  • Startup-ready: can execute with minimal resources, thrive in ambiguity.


  • Lagos-based and able to travel regularly for partner engagement.


  • Preferred Skills & Capabilities


  • Prior experience onboarding transport operators, ticketing systems, or aggregators.


  • Familiarity with Nigerian transport regulations and operator networks.
  • CRM/partnership tools: HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar.


  • Contract & document management: Google Workspace, DocuSign, slide decks.


  • Experience designing or executing co-marketing programs or revenue-share models.
