Job Summary

To manage the planning and day to day progress of projects within Knowledge Services. The role involves improving and managing all existing training offerings as well as exploring other opportunities for expansion and growth. Tutor delivery is a key responsibility for this position. The incumbent will be required to teach and lecture on Saturdays.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities: 

Understanding & Management of Knowledge Services Line:

  • Responsibility for day to day running of Harley Reed’s Knowledge Services, with specific responsibility for tutor delivery and course management as directed by Senior Managers and Directors.
  • Management of knowledge services includes tutor rotas across various supply chain professional courses and short courses.
  • Review of training manuals, testing and evaluation procedures and other educational materials.
  • Support direct line in evaluating existing learning and development procedures while also recommending new ideas across Harley Reed’s Knowledge Services.
  • Manage records and prepare reports to evaluate performance of instructors and monitor progress of students.
  • Identify potential cross-selling opportunities with existing students and corporate clients for Harley Reed’s Knowledge Services.
  • Support direct line in ensuring all tutors meet the required standards in terms of training skills, experience and qualifications while supporting tutors to develop up-to-date training skills.
  • Ensure that feedback and surveys are completed by students and corporates.
  • Provide support across the Harley Reed group where necessary.

 

Employee Relations:

  • Establish and maintain cordial relationship with other employees across all departments to ensure harmonious working environment.
  • Constantly monitor the work of subordinates and maintain rapport with them at all times.

 

Information & Reporting:

  • Prepare periodic reports relating to job functions.
  • Collate and analyze all feedback and surveys.
  • Provide clear and timely feedback on the progress of projects and training programmes.

 

Stakeholder Management & Relations:

  • Liaise with both the Harley Reed group and external training tutors/facilitators for effective service delivery to enhance training programmes.

 

Financial Management:

  • Provide input in the preparation of the annual budget for Knowledge Services.
  • Work closely with the direct line to ensure that assigned budgets are judiciously used for the execution of projects.

 

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business Administration or any related field
  • Membership of a professional body (CIPS, CILT, CIM, CIPD) will be preferred.

 

Experience:

  • Five (5) years’ experience with at least 2 years in professional certification training.

 

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Excellent working knowledge of current and emerging training tools and learning interventions/aids.
  • Demonstrate potential capacity to technically develop and manage all supply chain trainings to a standard level.
  • Ability to manage training programmes from preparation to post course evaluation
  • Effective time management – delivery of scope, prioritization of issues, achieving deadlines
  • Good networking, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders and work effectively with all categories of employees.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and often pressured environment.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Business development skills.
