Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee the compliance programme across African markets
- Act as MLRO: manage AML/CFT, KYC and EDD, monitor transactions and file SARs
- Liaise with regulators, legal advisors and internal teams
- Build and update compliance policies and train staff
- Prepare compliance and risk reports for management and regulators
- Oversee audits and monitor key risk indicators
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business or a related field
- Experience in compliance management, preferably in financial services
- Strong knowledge of AML/CFT laws and financial regulations in Africa
- Cross-border payments and MLRO experience are an advantage
- CAMS, ACAMS, ICA or similar certification preferred
