Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Support the ongoing renovation and develop a planned maintenance schedule for the property going forward
- Track expenditure and manage the maintenance budget
- Arrange and manage contracts for maintenance, waste removal, landscaping and security, including disputes with service providers
- Maintain an asset register and service history for all plant and equipment
- Conduct routine inspections of all facilities to detect and resolve faults
- Ensure all department workers adhere to safety policies and procedures
- Establish a system of continuous improvement across the estate, working closely with departmental staff
- Identify neglected maintenance activity, advise management, and implement corrective action
Requirements:
- Minimum of an HND in Estate Management, Building Technology or a related engineering discipline, with proof of qualification. An M.Sc / MBA is an advantage.
- Membership of a recognized building services body is an advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years maintaining property, with demonstrable managerial responsibility.
