Maintenance Manager

Responsibilities:

• Support the ongoing renovation of the property and develop a comprehensive preventive maintenance plan for future operations.
• Manage maintenance expenditure, prepare budgets and monitor costs.
• Coordinate and manage service contracts for maintenance, waste removal, landscaping and security, including resolving contractor disputes.
• Maintain an accurate asset register and service history for all plant, equipment and facilities.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify defects, prevent breakdowns and ensure timely repairs.
• Ensure staff and contractors comply with health, safety and operational procedures.
• Work with departmental teams to improve maintenance standards and operational efficiency.
• Identify neglected maintenance tasks, advise management on priorities and implement corrective actions.
• Supervise maintenance personnel and external contractors to ensure work is completed safely, on time and to the required standard.

Requirements:

• HND in Estate Management, Building Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant property maintenance experience, including managerial or supervisory responsibility.
• Experience in residential estates, facilities management, hotels or hospitality properties is an advantage.
• Knowledge of building services, preventive maintenance, contractor management and maintenance budgeting.
• Membership of a recognised professional body related to building services, facilities or estate management is an advantage.
• Strong organizational, leadership, communication and problem-solving skills 
• Ability to manage multiple maintenance priorities and respond to urgent issues when required.
• Willingness to work on-site in Ajah, Lagos.
