Maintenance Instructor

Responsibilities:

• Producing and maintaining an up-to-date training needs analysis for all approved Aircraft Technician training.
• Approving the initial issue and any subsequent changes to the training course material, notes, electronic presentation, lesson plans, study guides and examinations, which are current to reflect relevant regulations and industry best practice as required for Aircraft Technician training courses.
• Actively demonstrating leadership and the required interpersonal skills with other training staff.
• Ensuring compliance with the requirements of the Nig.CARs, and that the requirements are met and maintained for the Aircraft Technician training courses approved for this organisation
• Assisting the school with planning and scheduling of training courses.
• Actively assist in the school monitoring process and quality controls to ensure standards are met.
• The delivery of high-standard courses to Aircraft Technician trainees, for which he/she is qualified 
• Producing training course material, notes, electronic presentations, lesson plans, study guides and examinations required for the Aircraft Technician’s basic and advanced courses for which he/she is qualified.
• Assists lead instructor with proficiency drills training as required.
• Assists lead instructor with continuation training as required.
• Works to the requirements and standards of the ATO and the Training and Procedures Manual (TPM), and where necessary, highlights improvements to ensure they remain effective.
• Carry out examination invigilation duties and check marking where he/she is not actively involved in the instruction of that particular phase of examination.
• Any other duties as may be required.

Requirements:

• Candidate may possess an AME licence and rating or experience working as an Aircraft Technician or the holder of an instructor authorization or current teacher certificate issued by a national or local authority or an ICAO contracting state who has already passed the knowledge test in the areas of instructing.
• Age must be between 23-30 years
• Candidate must an instructor authorization from NCAA
• Candidate must have a high level of Aeronautical knowledge in the subject areas of aircraft maintenance.
• Candidate must have appropriate years of experience as a Maintenance Engineer/Technician
