Role Overview:

The Logistics Manager will be a critical leader responsible for architecting, executing, and optimizing OneHealth's end-to-end logistics operations, with a primary focus on ensuring efficient and reliable last-mile delivery of all orders. This role requires a strategic problem-solver with deep operational expertise in a high-volume, dynamic environment, committed to leveraging both our in-house fleet and third-party logistics partners to meet aggressive delivery targets while enhancing the customer experience across Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities:

• Last-Mile Delivery Strategy & Execution: Design, implement, and manage a high-performance last-mile delivery system, ensuring timely, accurate, and cost-effective dispatch of medicines and health products to customers.
• Fleet and Rider Management: Oversee the recruitment, training, performance, and scheduling of the in-house rider team. Implement best practices for route optimization, maintenance, and compliance to maximize in-house fleet efficiency.
• Third-Party Logistics (3PL) Partnership: Manage and optimize the relationship and performance of all external logistics partners. Negotiate contracts, establish clear SLAs, and implement rigorous performance monitoring to ensure seamless integration and reliable service delivery.
• Operational Efficiency: Continuously analyze logistics KPIs (delivery time, success rate, cost per delivery, order accuracy) to identify bottlenecks and lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline workflows and reduce operational waste.
• Technology Integration: Champion the use of logistics technology (e.g., route optimization software, real-time tracking, rider apps) to enhance visibility, improve operational control, and elevate the customer's delivery experience.
• Inventory & Warehouse Coordination: Collaborate closely with the Supply Chain and Warehouse teams to ensure efficient handover processes, accurate inventory staging, and rapid turnaround times for dispatch.
• Risk Management & Compliance: Implement robust protocols for handling sensitive pharmaceuticals, managing delivery risks (e.g., spoilage, theft), and ensuring strict adherence to all relevant transportation and healthcare regulations within Nigeria.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with the Customer Experience and Technology teams to resolve delivery issues swiftly, gather feedback, and implement tech-enabled solutions that improve service and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Logistics Expertise: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in logistics, distribution, or supply chain management, with a minimum of 2 years focused specifically on last-mile operations in a fast-paced environment (e.g., e-commerce, FMCG, or health-tech).
• Nigerian Market Acumen: Deep understanding of the unique logistical and infrastructural challenges and opportunities within the Nigerian transportation landscape.
• Leadership & Management: Proven ability to manage both in-house teams (riders/drivers) and external logistics providers, with a track record of driving performance and accountability.
• Analytical Skills: Strong data-driven approach to decision-making, with proficiency in analyzing large datasets and using logistics management systems (LMS) and route optimization tools.
• Communication & Negotiation: Excellent negotiation skills for managing 3PL contracts and strong communication skills to interact effectively with internal teams and external partners.
