Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
Dispatch Coordination & Order Fulfillment:
- Coordinate daily dispatch activities and ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
- Assign orders to dispatch riders and drivers based on route and delivery priority.
- Track order fulfillment and follow up with delivery personnel to ensure daily delivery targets are achieved.
- Monitor product handling to minimize damage, spills, and delivery errors.
Rider & Driver Supervision:
- Supervise dispatch riders and drivers, ensuring adherence to routes and schedules.
- Monitor daily delivery volumes and escalate performance issues when required.
Product Delivery Quality Control:
- Verify products before dispatch to ensure the correct quantity and condition.
- Record and report damaged, spilled, or incorrect deliveries.
- Work with the QA/QC team to maintain proper product handling standards during dispatch and delivery.
Logistics Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate daily dispatch logs and customer delivery records.
- Track product movement between production, warehouse, and customer locations.
- Prepare weekly logistics performance reports for review by the Logistics Manager.
Supplies & Gear Monitoring:
- Ensure riders have functioning helmets, raincoats, boots, and other required delivery gear.
- Monitor the condition of logistics equipment and request repairs or replacements when necessary.
- Maintain basic records of dispatch tools and equipment.
Requirements:
- Minimum of OND in any related discipline
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years' experience in a dispatch, logistics, delivery coordination, or similar role, preferably within FMCG, food, or beverage.
- Experience supervising riders, drivers, or delivery personnel is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes accurately.
- Good time management and ability to prioritize multiple deliveries.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Reliable, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment.
