Logistics Driver

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate the company's bus to transport staff, goods, and operational materials to designated locations.
• Ensure timely pickups, deliveries, and transportation according to assigned schedules.
• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
• Maintain the cleanliness, safety, and proper condition of the assigned vehicle.
• Plan efficient travel routes to minimize delays and optimize fuel consumption.
• Assist with loading and unloading goods or equipment when required.
• Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel usage, maintenance, and deliveries.
• Ensure all vehicle documents, insurance, licenses, and permits remain valid and up to date.
• Report vehicle faults, accidents, traffic violations, or maintenance needs promptly.
• Comply with all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company transportation policies.
• Coordinate with the logistics and warehouse teams to ensure efficient transportation operations.
• Provide professional and courteous service to staff, customers, and stakeholders during transportation activities.

Requirements:

• Minimum of SSCE or equivalent qualification.
• Valid Nigerian Driver's License with the appropriate class for operating buses.
• Proven years of professional driving experience, preferably in logistics, transportation, or distribution.
• Good knowledge of road networks, traffic regulations, and defensive driving techniques.
• Ability to operate buses safely under different road and weather conditions.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and professionalism.
• Physically fit and capable of assisting with loading and unloading when necessary.
