Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Design and oversee daily dispatch schedules to ensure all customer orders are fulfilled within the stipulated lead times.
- Supervise company-owned delivery vehicles and drivers, ensuring regular maintenance schedules are met to prevent operational downtime.
- Analyze and implement the most efficient delivery routes to minimize fuel consumption and reduce wear and tear on vehicles.
- Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and independent haulers for peak-period support.
- Monitor stock levels in real-time to ensure that "out-of-stock" scenarios do not disrupt the delivery pipeline.
- Ensure all shipments comply with transport regulations, including the safe handling of chemical energy products and hazardous material protocols.
- Act as the primary point of contact for delivery delays, damaged goods, or incorrect shipments, providing immediate solutions to maintain customer trust.
Requirements:
- Minimum HND.
- 3 years of previous experience in a similar role.
