LLM Java Developer

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain reliable Java-based software components.
• Build scalable backend systems that support AI and language-model applications.
• Contribute to AI model evaluation and performance improvement workflows.
• Evaluate AI-generated responses using defined quality and technical criteria.
• Provide clear technical explanations and feedback on evaluation results.
• Support supervised fine-tuning (SFT) and related AI training activities where required.
• Collaborate with researchers, engineers, and other technical contributors on AI projects.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain high standards for code quality.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues.
• Develop secure, stable, readable, and maintainable code.
• Contribute to the design and delivery of new product features.

Requirements:

• Strong professional experience with Java.
• Good understanding of Java syntax, conventions, and software development principles.
• Experience developing software and actively participating in code reviews.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent professional experience may be considered.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with AI or Large Language Model (LLM) projects.
• Experience with AI model evaluation or training workflows.
• Software Quality Assurance experience.
• Test planning or Test-Driven Development (TDD) experience.
• Experience working with backend systems or APIs.
• Familiarity with SFT, RLHF, or other AI training methodologies.

Work Commitment

Candidates should be available for one of the following schedules:

• 20 hours per week
• 30 hours per week
• 40 hours per week

Remuneration: NGN 650,000 monthly
