Role Description This full-time Life Insurance Agent role is based in Port Harcourt and follows a hybrid work model, combining on-site client engagement with some work-from-home flexibility. The Life Insurance Agent will identify prospects, conduct needs assessments, and recommend suitable life insurance solutions that align with clients’ financial goals. Daily responsibilities include meeting with clients, explaining policy features, preparing quotations, processing applications, and following up on policy documentation. The role involves building and maintaining long-term relationships, providing ongoing customer service, and handling policy reviews, renewals, and claims support. The agent will also collaborate with internal teams, adhere to regulatory requirements, and participate in sales meetings, training, and performance reviews.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Insurance Sales and Insurance Brokerage to effectively acquire, advise, and retain clients.
- Candidates should possess skills in Insurance and Finance to interpret policies, explain benefits, and support clients’ financial planning decisions.
- Candidates should possess strong Customer Service skills to handle inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure a positive client experience.
- Experience in life insurance or broader financial services is highly beneficial, including familiarity with regulatory and compliance standards.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex information in clear, accessible language.
- Proven ability to meet sales targets, manage time effectively, and work with minimal supervision in a hybrid work environment.
- Basic proficiency with digital tools and CRM systems for managing client information and sales activities.
- Relevant academic background in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a related field is an advantage, though equivalent professional experience may be considered.
