Job summary
The Legal Practitioner will provide legal advisory, regulatory, and compliance support across the Department of Commerce. The role requires a strong understanding of commercial law, contracts, regulatory frameworks, and corporate governance, with the ability to protect the organization’s legal interests while supporting strategic growth initiatives

Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice on commercial transactions, partnerships, and trade-related matters
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and memoranda
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies
- Support regulatory engagements and liaise with relevant authorities where required
- Advise management on legal risks and mitigation strategies
- Support dispute resolution, claims management, and legal documentation
- Ensure corporate governance standards are upheld within the Department
Requirements:
- Minimum BSc
- 5 years of previous work experience in similar role
