Job summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled legal officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing legal support in real estate transactions, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and assisting with legal document preparation and review. This role plays a crucial part in safeguarding the firm’s interests.
Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Review, draft, and negotiate contracts related to property sales, leases, and development agreements.
- Conduct legal research on real estate laws and regulations.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal real estate laws.
- Assist in title searches and reviews of property titles.
- Provide legal advice regarding laws, land use, and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with external legal counsel on complex matters as needed.
- Represent the firm in legal proceedings, including mediation and arbitration, if necessary.
- Prepare legal documents, such as Offer letters, deeds of Assignments, memos, and reports, etc.
- Maintain accurate and organised legal records and databases.
- Stay updated on changes in real estate law and best practices.
Requirements:
- Excellent analytical communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in legal research tools
- A minimum of 3 years of experience
