Job summary
The purpose of this role is to safeguard the company's legal interests and ensure regulatory compliance across all business operations.

Responsibilities:
Operations:
- Advise management on legal issues affecting manufacturing, supply chain, distribution, and sales
- Liaise with NAFDAC, SON, NESREA, FIRS, CAC, and other regulatory agencies
- Handle litigation, disputes, and represent the company in negotiations with vendors, customers, and agencies.
- Support factory operations on health & safety, labour law, and land/lease matters
- Provide legal input in management and operations meetings
Documentation :
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts: supply agreements, distributor agreements, service contracts, equipment leases, NDAs
- Prepare board resolutions, minutes, and statutory filings with CAC
- Maintain and update the company’s legal document register and contract repository
- Review policy documents
Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with labour law, Factory Act, environmental laws, product regulatory requirements, and tax laws
- Monitor and ensure timely renewal of licenses, permits, and certifications for the plant and products
- Develop and implement company policies, code of conduct, and compliance manuals
- Coordinate compliance training for staff and HODs
- Conduct periodic compliance audits and prepare compliance reports for management
Requirements:
- LL.B 5-7 years post-call experience, preferably in manufacturing, FMCG, or corporate environment.
- Knowledge of Nigerian corporate law, labour law, environmental law, and regulatory requirements for the manufacturing sector
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Proactive, discreet, and able to work with production and commercial teams
