Lead Content Creator
Job summary
The Content Lead owns the overall content strategy and content marketing direction of Tulips & Lilies. The primary responsibility of this role is to turn content into a business growth tool — using storytelling, founder-led marketing, education, entertainment and community building to increase brand awareness, trust, enquiries and sales.

Responsibilities:
Content Strategy:
- Develop and own the monthly content strategy across all relevant platforms.
- Create content pillars aligned with the company’s brand, products, target audience and revenue goals.
- Develop campaigns designed around specific business objectives such as awareness, lead generation, product launches, promotions and sales.
- Identify opportunities to use content to answer customer objections and build trust.
- Develop strategies for turning attention into enquiries and enquiries into customers.
Content Ideation:
- Lead weekly content brainstorming sessions.
- Constantly identify new content angles, formats, conversations, trends and stories.
- Study competitors, successful creators and brands to identify opportunities.
- Develop strong hooks and concepts designed to stop people from scrolling.
- Build a bank of content ideas that can be executed consistently.
Founder-Led Marketing:
- Develop and manage the Founder’s content strategy.
- Identify stories, opinions, experiences, lessons and industry insights that can position the Founder as an authority.
- Create a consistent founder-led content series.
- Plan, script and coordinate founder-led videos.
- Help humanise the brand and build trust between the Founder and potential customers.
- Position the Founder as a credible voice within the bakery, business and creative space.
Shoot Planning & Production:
- Plan and lead content shoots.
- Develop shoot briefs, shot lists, scripts and production schedules.
- Coordinate the Content Associate and other team members during shoots.
- Ensure shoots produce sufficient content assets for multiple platforms.
- Maintain a structured content library.
- Ensure content is produced to a consistently high standard.
Social Media Management:
- Oversee the content published across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and other relevant platforms.
- Ensure content is consistent with the brand voice and visual identity.
- Manage the content calendar and publishing schedule.
- Ensure content is adapted appropriately for each platform rather than simply reposted everywhere.
Community Building:
- Develop initiatives that encourage conversation and participation within our social community.
- Understand what our audience is talking about, asking about and struggling with.
- Turn customer questions and conversations into content opportunities.
- Build content that makes customers feel seen, understood and connected to the brand.
- Develop recurring content formats that audiences look forward to.
Content-to-Sales Strategy:
- Develop content designed to generate enquiries and sales.
- Work with the Sales and Marketing team to understand which products, offers and services need to be pushed.
- Create campaigns around commercial opportunities.
- Use content to communicate value, overcome objections and create urgency.
- Track content-generated leads and sales where possible.
- Constantly ask: “How does this content help the business make money?”
Analytics & Optimisation:
- Track content performance weekly and monthly.
- Analyse reach, views, watch time, engagement, saves, shares, profile visits, enquiries, leads and conversions.
- Identify winning and underperforming content.
- Make decisions based on data rather than personal preference.
- Test different hooks, formats, topics and storytelling approaches.
- Continuously improve the content strategy based on results.
Team Leadership:
- Direct and supervise the Content Associate.
- Assign content tasks and deadlines.
- Review content before publishing where required.
- Maintain accountability for the content calendar.
- Train and develop the Content Associate.
- Ensure the content team is productive and meeting agreed targets.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience
- A minimum of a degree in a related field
