Role Description

This is a contract role for a Lead Consulting Mechanical Engineer at IPMC LIMITED, based on-site in Lagos. The Lead Consulting Mechanical Engineer will oversee and manage mechanical engineering projects from initiation to completion. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and reviewing mechanical systems, conducting feasibility studies, preparing detailed engineering drawings, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing project timelines, and providing technical guidance to team members. The individual will work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure deliverables meet contractual requirements and standards. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to design and implement solutions is a key aspect of this position.

Qualifications

• Proven expertise in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical System Design, and analysis
• Experience leading project teams and managing engineering projects effectively
• Proficiency in using engineering software tools and drafting applications
• Deep understanding of regulatory compliance standards and energy-efficient solutions
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
• Ability to work on-site and in cross-functional teams with a collaborative approach
• A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred
• Experience in oil and gas, infrastructure, or construction industries highly advantageous
