Job summary
We are seeking an experienced, innovative, and results-driven Lead Architect to lead the planning, design, and execution of architectural projects from concept through completion.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the conceptualization, planning, and development of architectural designs for residential, commercial, institutional, and mixed-use projects.
- Develop innovative, functional, and sustainable design solutions that align with client objectives and project requirements.
- Review and approve architectural drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Ensure all designs comply with applicable building codes, planning regulations, and industry standards.
- Manage multiple architectural projects from inception to completion.
- Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans in collaboration with project managers.
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery within scope and budget.
- Coordinate project documentation, approvals, and statutory submissions.
- Lead, supervise, and mentor architects, architectural technologists, and design staff.
- Assign responsibilities, review work, and provide technical guidance to project teams.
- Foster collaboration, innovation, and continuous professional development within the architecture team.
- Conduct design reviews and quality assurance checks throughout project execution.
- Serve as the primary architectural contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
- Present design concepts, technical proposals, and project updates to clients and stakeholders.
- Coordinate with structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil engineers to ensure integrated project delivery.
- Manage design changes and resolve technical issues throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure adherence to architectural standards, health and safety regulations, and environmental requirements.
- Promote sustainable design practices and the efficient use of materials and resources.
- Stay updated on emerging architectural trends, technologies, and construction methods.
- Support business development by contributing to proposals, presentations, and client engagements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Architecture from a recognized institution.
- Proven years of post-qualification architectural experience.
- Professional registration with the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria is required.
- Membership of the Nigerian Institute of Architects is an added advantage.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, ArchiCAD, Lumion, Autodesk 3ds Max, or similar architectural design software.
- Excellent understanding of building codes, planning regulations, construction methods, and project management principles.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
