Lawyer

Responsibilities:

• Conduct legal research and provide clear summaries of findings.
• Assist with drafting, reviewing, and proofreading contracts, agreements, letters, and other legal documents.
• Support the preparation and review of legal documentation for clients and the business.
• Assist with corporate and regulatory compliance activities.
• Maintain organised records of legal documents, agreements, and correspondence.
• Assist senior lawyers with legal matters, case preparation, and documentation.
• Monitor relevant legal and regulatory developments that may affect the business.
• Support due diligence and legal documentation processes.
• Assist in identifying potential legal risks and escalating issues to senior lawyers.
• Prepare legal correspondence, reports, and internal memos.
• Liaise professionally with clients, vendors, government agencies, and other stakeholders when required.
• Perform other legal and administrative duties assigned by the legal team.

Requirements:

• LL.B degree from a recognised university.
• Must have completed the Nigerian Law School and be called to the Nigerian Bar, or be awaiting call, depending on the organisation's requirements.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Good knowledge of Nigerian commercial and corporate law is an advantage.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with confidential information.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard legal research tools.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team.
• Demonstrated willingness to learn and develop professionally.
