Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Land Surveyor role based in Lagos. The Land Surveyor will conduct field surveys for construction and infrastructure projects, including boundary, topographic, and building layout surveys. Daily tasks include setting out points on site, operating survey instruments, collecting and recording field data, and verifying measurements for accuracy. The role involves preparing survey drawings, reports, and documentation, and collaborating with engineers, project managers, and site supervisors to ensure that designs are correctly translated to the field. The Land Surveyor will also help maintain survey equipment, follow site safety procedures, and support quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Land Surveying and Surveying principles, including field measurements, data collection, and boundary determination.
- Hands-on experience with Total Station and related surveying instruments, including setup, calibration, and data transfer.
- Practical experience in Topographic Surveys, including terrain mapping, contouring, and site level assessments.
- Skills in Building Surveying for setting out structures, checking levels and alignments, and verifying as-built conditions.
- Relevant technical diploma or degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency with survey software and CAD tools for processing survey data and producing drawings (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar).
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work on-site in varying weather conditions, follow safety standards, and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Previous experience on construction sites or infrastructure projects in Lagos or similar environments is an advantage.
