Kitchen Assistant

Responsibilities:

• Assist with basic food preparation and preparing simple meals.
• Garnish, portion, and present meals neatly and attractively.
• Package food orders properly, ensuring cleanliness and hygiene.
• Receive, process, and attend to online orders.
• Ensure customer orders are correctly prepared, packaged, and ready for dispatch.
• Coordinate the sending out of customer orders.
• Respond to customer enquiries and communicate professionally with clients via WhatsApp and other channels.
• Assist with taking food photographs and recording short videos for social media.
• Participate in creating engaging content showcasing meals and kitchen activities.
• Keep the kitchen clean, organised, and hygienic.
• Receive supplies, monitor ingredients, and carry out daily stock counts.
• Perform other kitchen and operational duties as required.

Requirements:

• Previous kitchen, catering, or food business experience is an advantage.
• Interest in food preparation, presentation, and hospitality.
• Must have a creative mindset and an interest in content creation or be willing to learn.
• Basic smartphone skills for taking pictures and recording videos.
• Basic video editing skills are an advantage but not compulsory.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to attend to online orders and respond to customers promptly and politely.
• Good attention to detail and hygiene.
• Honest, punctual, responsible, and organised.
• Ability to follow instructions and work well with others.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to daily kitchen activities.
• Must currently reside in Benin City or be willing to relocate to Benin City before resumption.
• Preference will be given to candidates living close to the business location or those who can conveniently commute to work daily.
