Job summary
We are recruiting qualified and passionate subject teacher to join our junior secondary school. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality instruction in their areas of specialisation while inspiring students to achieve academic excellence, develop strong moral values, and become confident, responsible, and lifelong learners.
Job descriptions & requirements
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in accordance with the school;s curriculum and academic standards.
- Develop lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments that promote critical thinking and active learning.
- Assess, monitor, and evaluate students' academic performance and provide timely feedback.
- Maintain accurate academic records and prepare progress reports.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment that supports effective learning
- Encourage students' intellectual, emotional, social, and moral development.
- Promote positive behaviour, respect, responsibility, and integrity among students.
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching strategies into classroom instruction.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding students' academic progress and development.
- Support the school's commitment to character development by modelling professionalism, leadership, integrity, respect, and excellence.
- Participate in departmental meetings, professional development programmes, school events, and extracurricular activities.
- Comply with the school's safeguarding, health, safety, and child protection policies.
- Bachelor's degree in education or a relevant subject area.
- Minimum of 3 years' teaching experience at the junior secondary school level.
- Experience teaching the British Curriculum is an added advantage.
- Excellent classroom management and instructional skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good ICT proficiency.
- TRCN certification or registration is an added advantage.
- Passion for teaching, mentoring young learners, and promoting values-based education.
