Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
Lead Generation & Client Engagement:
- Conduct outbound prospecting via phone, email, and social media to identify potential clients.
- Research and compile lists of prospective businesses that align with Awari’s target market.
- Schedule discovery calls and demos with interested prospects.
- Follow up on inbound leads from the website, newsletter, and event registrations.
- Maintain accurate records of all client interactions using CRM tools.
Sales Administration & Support:
- Assist in preparing quotes, proposals, contracts, and presentations for new business.
- Coordinate with design, editorial, and marketing teams to ensure timely delivery of client deliverables.
- Update and maintain CRM data (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar).
- Prepare reports on sales pipeline, conversion rates, and activity metrics.
- Track and manage sales documentation, including contracts, invoices, and payment schedules.
Client Retention & Onboarding:
- Support the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring they understand their campaigns and content placements.
- Handle initial client inquiries and escalate complex issues to senior team members.
- Monitor client satisfaction and assist in renewal conversations where applicable.
Revenue & Partnership Growth:
- Support initiatives to upsell and cross-sell existing clients (e.g., digital ads, print features, events, etc.).
- Assist in identifying partnership opportunities that can expand Awari’s revenue streams.
- Collaborate with the editorial and marketing teams to develop compelling offers for businesses.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in sales.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic understanding of sales processes and CRM systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Passion for media, marketing, and local business development is a plus.
Remuneration: NGN 150,000 plus commission
