Job Summary
As a Junior Production Assistant (Cook Unit), you will support the Production Coordinator in meal production, maintain a clean workspace, and assist with plating and packing meals.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Support the Production Coordinator in the production of standard-quality meals
- Produce meals according to the recipe/menu specifications enforced by the Production Coordinator, and defined by the Production Manager (Head Chef) and Assistant Production Managers
- Keep work area at all times in hygienic conditions according to standard hygiene practices and rules defined
- Confirm the daily mis en place (as required) and food production in different stations, or for general food production
- Follow the instructions and recommendations from the immediate superiors to complete the daily tasks
- Support in standard Plating & Packing of customer meals
- Ensure the highest standards and consistent quality in the daily preparation and keep up to date with the new products, recipes, and preparation techniques, in the food industry, and as used in the Eden Food Production Facility
- Coordinate and participate with other sections of requirements, cleanliness, wastage, and cost control
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a smooth and friendly work environment
- Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Assistant Production Managers, Production Managers, and Food Production Lead.
Requirements
- Possess at least a Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE); OND qualification
- Minimum of 6 months work experience in meal preparation and plating.
- Excellent Time Management and Organizational skills.
- High attention to details.
- Good basic knowledge of food health and safety standards and practices.
- Effective communication skills
- Knowledge of standard hygiene practices.
- Ability to follow recipe/menu specifications.
- Familiarity with new food industry techniques.
- Agility and Flexibility to handle various tasks as assigned.
Work Schedule:
- You will be required to work a minimum of 3 shifts per week, and a maximum of 5 (which can fall on Saturday or Sunday) rotational.
- Payment is made at the end of each month, calculated based on the number of shifts worked. A payment of 3500 naira is made for each shift.
- Work hours are 11 am - 7 pm with 1 hour break
