Junior Event Decor Planner

Responsibilities:

• Meet with clients to understand their event requirements, preferences, budget, and desired theme.
• Develop creative décor concepts, mood boards, and event design proposals.
• Provide professional recommendations on décor styles, color schemes, floral arrangements, furniture, lighting, and event layouts.
• Prepare quotations and décor proposals in collaboration with management.
• Maintain regular communication with clients throughout the planning process.

Event Design and Execution:

• Design and coordinate event décor setups for weddings, birthdays, corporate events, social gatherings, exhibitions, and other special occasions.
• Ensure décor concepts are executed in accordance with approved designs and client expectations.
• Conduct venue inspections and site visits to determine décor requirements and logistical needs.
• Supervise event setup, styling, and breakdown activities.
• Ensure all décor installations are completed within agreed timelines and quality standards.

Vendor and Inventory Coordination:

• Coordinate with suppliers, florists, rental vendors, and other service providers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• Monitor and manage décor inventory, ensuring proper handling, storage, and maintenance of items.
• Identify inventory requirements and recommend procurement of new décor materials when necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of décor assets and equipment.

Budget and Cost Management:

• Assist in preparing event budgets and cost estimates.
• Monitor project expenses to ensure adherence to approved budgets.
• Identify cost-effective solutions while maintaining service quality and client satisfaction.

Team Coordination:

• Coordinate and supervise decorators, event assistants, and temporary event staff during event execution.
• Assign tasks and monitor performance to ensure smooth operations.
• Foster teamwork and maintain a positive working environment during event projects.

Health, Safety, and Compliance:

• Ensure all décor installations comply with safety requirements and venue regulations.
• Maintain a safe work environment during setup and dismantling activities.
• Ensure proper handling and transportation of décor materials and equipment.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree, HND, OND, or equivalent qualification in Event Management, Interior Design, Fine Arts, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in event planning, event décor, interior styling, or a related role.
• Experience in weddings, corporate events, and social events will be an added advantage.
