Job Summary

We are looking for a meticulous and proactive Junior Accountant to support the Finance & Accounts Department in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial reports. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to accuracy, compliance, and financial integrity, ensuring smooth daily accounting operations and contributing to informed management decisions.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities

Record and update daily financial transactions including cash, bank, and site payments.
Verify and file supporting documents such as receipts, invoices, and waybills.
Prepare weekly cash expense reports and reconcile balances with the accountant.
Monitor site cash usage and ensure reports align with actual disbursements.
Post approved payment vouchers and journal entries accurately.
Track staff and site cash advances, ensuring prompt retirements.
Assist in updating asset records and generating accurate reports.
Produce weekly and monthly financial reports for management review.
Maintain bank and petty cash reconciliations.
Support month-end closing activities and report generation.
Follow up on financial discrepancies and incomplete documentation.
Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and internal controls.

Requirements:

Minimum HND
3 years of previous work experience in similar role
