Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Gather, research, and report news stories.
- Conduct interviews, attend press conferences, and investigate relevant leads.
- Produce clear, balanced, and engaging content for digital platforms and social media.
- Work closely with editors and other journalists to develop story ideas.
- Ensure accuracy, fairness, and adherence to editorial standards.
- Provide on-the-field coverage and real-time reporting when required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in mass communication, journalism, English, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of previous work experience in similar role
- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Experience in multimedia reporting (video, photography, social media) is an added advantage.
- High level of professionalism, curiosity, and attention to detail.
- Ability to break news and generate original story ideas.
- Strong interviewing and storytelling skills.
- Familiarity with digital journalism tools and platforms.
- Good camera presence (for those interested in on-air reporting).
